EID MUBARAK - EID-UL-FITR

Eid-ul-Fitr is a Muslim festival celebrated all over India

Ed-ul-Fitr or Eid is a festival that marks the end of the holy month of Ramzan. Ramzan is the Islamic holy month of fasting. it is the ninth month in the Muslim calendar. Eid is celebrated by Muslims. the holy Quran was revealed in this month to the prophet Mohammed.



On this day Muslims gather in large groups at mosques and offer their prayers or namaz. they wear new clothes and greet each other by saying, "Eid-Mubarak", after the prayer. Elders give money, called eedi (Eid gifts) to the children. Alms are also given to the poor. Biryani, kheer, sewai and sheer Quran are the delicacies prepared during the festival. This festival is a day of joy and thanksgiving.



muslim festivals do not correspond to any particular date or month of the Gregorian calendar as they are based on the Islamic calendar, Hijri, which follows the movements of the moon and not the sun.
